Fruit glut!

Wow, preserving season has begun in earnest! A pretty impressive list of products so far for looking after two under-4s all day:

- 1 batch spiced freezer plum compote
- 1 batch apple butter
- 2 batches blackberry jam
- big bag of applesauce in freezer
- big bag stewed apple pieces in freezer
- 1 batch plum jam
- small container of apple scrap vinegar on the go
- gallon portion blackberry wine in fermenting bucket
- 1/2 gallon portion plum wine in fermenting bucket
- small bag of whole blackberries in freezer

Would like to get more vinegar on the go and as soon as current batches vacate the fermenting buckets, will instantly get more on the go - definitely apple wine and probably more plum. I naively only bought 2 5 litre buckets when I should've and really meant to get 5 gallon buckets - big difference, oops! So may try and find bigger ones off eBay or locally after payday.

Tons more apples and plums on the trees - only just scratched the surface with picking from those. Single handedly picked about 11 lbs of blackberries and would like to now go back maybe twice a week (hopefully with G in tow to help!) to get more as they continue to ripen. Not sure what I will do with them...more wine, likely, and plain frozen as we love them in porridge and yogurt and the like.
